Software Engineer - K8s Operator in Luzern

Your role at Dynatrace

• You will design and build Kubernetes Operators in Go that automate the full lifecycle of the Dynatrace platform - covering installation, configuration, upgrades, and ongoing operations - enabling a fully self-service and hands-off experience for users.

• You will own the end-to-end developer and operator experience , ensuring that running Dynatrace in Kubernetes environments is simple, reliable, and consistent across diverse customer setups.

• You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams across Dynatrace to integrate their components into a unified, automation-first platform model, ensuring every part of the system can be deployed and operated without manual intervention.

• You will leverage AI-assisted engineering and observability insights to enable more autonomous, adaptive, and self-optimizing platform operations.

• You will continuously improve the reliability, observability, and resilience of the Operator , ensuring safe rollouts, automated recovery, and predictable behavior at scale.

What will help you succeed

• A background in Software Engineering or related technical studies.

• 2+ years of experience in Golang , with a strong understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles.

• Good knowledge of Kubernetes, containers , and Kubernetes Operators.

• Passion for building high-performance, scalable algorithms and working with modern technologies in the cloud-native space.

• A hands-on, collaborative approach to problem-solving with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions as part of a team

Important Location Requirement: This role offers the flexibility of hybrid work from our office in Lucerne; please note that current residency and physical presence in Switzerland are required.
