The Team – your impact

The chapter Technology & Engineering – Platform Engineering represents all experts who deliver DevOps capabilities to all our product teams. These experts are organized together to enhance those functional skillsets, improve E.ON’s DevOps tech stack and deliver a high level of cloud automation.

The Cloud Network Platform team runs E.ON’s central cloud connectivity hub. This service connects all our public cloud applications as well as our physical data centers, bringing the whole IT world together.

Your Role – meaningful & rewarding

• Play a pivotal role in the design and construction of our automation journey in an agile team

• Collaborate with development teams to define and automate cloud network deployments and services

• Transition existing automation solutions into a unified product-owned automation Crossplane platform

• Transform an existing cloud network platform into Infrastructure as Code using Terraform / OpenTofu

• Deliver immutable artifacts for infrastructure provisioning, management, and custom provider implementations

• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement

Your Profile – authentic & open-minded

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience

• Extensive proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Crossplane, Terraform and/or OpenTofu

• In-depth knowledge of multi-cloud platforms and services (Azure, AWS & GCP)

• Experience with cloud networking technologies (e.g. VirtualWAN, CloudWAN, Virtual Networking) is a plus

• Experience with observability tools for monitoring system health and performance

• Excellent problem-solving skills and experience working on highly-availabe critical systems
