Job Description
Eaton eMobility business is looking for an Industrialization Engineer - expert in fasteners to lead industrialization process across Global eMobility business including Power Electronic and Power Distribution & Protection Global Business Units.
What you'll do:
- Develop, deploy and hand over manufacturing process to production sites based upon pre-defined acceptance criteria.
- Lead fasteners Industrialization process within area of her/his expertise and responsibility to support eMobility growth beyond $2B.
- Cooperate with eMobility and other Global functions such as Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Digitalization, CI and Industry 4.0 and Plant Manufacturing Engineering, and support functions.
- Support Manufacturing sites and support function in complex problem-solving tasks to achieve minimum 85% efficiency.
- Provide inputs to Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineering during new business quotation process.
- Cooperate with Quotation lead to define equipment requirements and support identification of capital expenditures needed.
- Support strategic planning efforts related to capital expenditures.
- Support strategic projects related to manufacturing including the planning and execution of Make vs. Buy strategies.
- Lead SAT and FAT process for new or modified equipment.
- Support to PFMEAs, DFMAs, flow charts, control plans, test plans, and operator instruction sheets.
- Train Manufacturing Engineer and other key support resources in the plant (Operators and Production Team Leaders/Supervisors).
- Work with Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineering to define and deploy equipment standards.
- Support the deployment of Industry 4.0 (cobot, traceability, preventive maintenance, …) solutions for new product lines.
- Participate in I4.0 councils and assist in planning i4.0 roadmaps for the business unit.
- Lead Problem Solving resolution using tools (Six Sigma, Red X, Ishikawa etc.) for design/manufacturing issues during project Industrialization phase.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, math or technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering or operations experience is required.
- Experience with industrial and automotive fastening process.
Skills:
- Strong manufacturing knowledge of equipment and processes associated with capacity planning.
- Strong manufacturing engineering and process skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills effective in building strategic relationships, team building, and ability to interact and influence through all levels of the organization.
- Strong understanding of quality techniques and quality systems.
- Experience and exposure to numerous manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with problem solving methodologies, e.g., 8D, 5 Why, A3.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative.
- Comfortable with statistics and other mathematical concepts, tools like PowerPoint, Excel, Minitab, Visio and SharePoint.
- Fluent in English.
- Mobility for domestic and international travel (up to 50%).
- Problem solving (Be able to solve challenges that customer's facing with our products or services).
- Ability to provide solutions that receive buy-in from all impacted parties.
