What you’ll do:
- Master\’s thesis on the topic „Solid State Circuit Breakers for LVDC or MVDC applications“
- Literature research on semiconductor-based circuit breaker topologies
- Simulation of the power stage of SSCB topology
- Detailed modeling of the gate driver for the related SSCB
- Modeling, control and communication of the SSCB
- Simulation and modeling of LVDC or MVDC grids
- Simulation of different use case scenarios
Qualifications:
• Pursuing a master\’s degree in electrical engineering
Skills:
- Understanding of the principles of power electronics and DC grids
- Practical experience with power electronic converters is an advantage
- Experience with simulation platforms like LTSpice, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink desired
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
