We’re looking for you—full-time or part-time—to join our IT department at our offices in Chemnitz or Munich as a AI Platforms, Data, and Automation Developer (m/f/d) Just use AI? Or build the foundation for it? With us, you’ll play a central role in building our technical AI and automation landscape—secure and scalable. While the Firm and Corporate Development team is responsible for use cases and benefits, you’ll handle technical evaluation, architecture, integration, and stable operations. Your Responsibilities Technical Strategy Together with the Law Firm and Corporate Development teams, you’ll develop the target technical architecture for AI and automation solutions. You’ll establish standards and decision-making frameworks for large language models, machine learning, and automation platforms—all transparently documented and reusable. Model, Platform, and Vendor Selection You will compare commercial and open-source models, as well as cloud, on-premises, and hybrid operating models—based on quality, security, data protection, data residency, costs, latency, and vendor lock-in. Using technical proofs of concept, you create robust decision-making templates and define requirements for access, logging, and fault tolerance. Integration into the IT Landscape You integrate AI solutions with applications, data sources, document management systems, and identity and access management systems via APIs. Where appropriate, you develop concepts for retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge databases, or document processing—with transparently documented data flows. Operations, Security, and Quality You transition pilot projects into regular operations—including monitoring, logging, versioning, and emergency procedures—and establish quality controls for response quality, availability, and costs. Together with IT security, data protection, and compliance teams, you safeguard against risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, or uncontrolled model changes, and prepare documentation for audits—including in light of the EU AI Act. Technical Project Management You’ll take on technical (sub-)project management, translate business requirements into specifications, and assess effort, risks, and dependencies. You’ll coordinate IT teams, service providers, and partners, and build reusable components so that not every solution has to be created from scratch. Consulting and Empowerment You provide clear advice to business units on the possibilities and limitations of technology, create technical guidelines, and support training sessions. You and Firm and Business Development—Clear Roles, One Goal Firm and Business Development is responsible for: use cases and their prioritization, process analysis, expected benefits, implementation, and technical performance measurement. You are responsible for: feasibility and target architecture, model and platform decisions, interfaces, security, quality, and operations. A use case is only implemented once its benefits, feasibility, security, and cost-effectiveness have been jointly evaluated. What You Bring to the Table Degree in computer science, business informatics, data science, or a related field—or comparable practical experience At least three years of experience in software architecture, IT project management, data integration, automation, or platform operations In-depth knowledge of current AI technologies and their limitations Programming experience (e.g., JavaScript)—you can confidently understand AI-generated code.
