About the Role
We are seeking a Frontend Developer to join one of our US-based clients as a Learning Support Specialist. This role is ideal for a developer with strong accessibility expertise who is comfortable building responsive, standards-compliant web interfaces within a Learning Management System (LMS) environment.
Position Details
Location: United States (Remote)
Compensation: Hourly rate
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive, accessible web interfaces.
- Ensure all solutions align with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
- Work independently with UX/UI, Accessibility, LMS, and vendor teams.
- Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support technical governance, development standards, and release processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues.
- Work hands-on with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Git.
- Contribute to integrations involving APIs, design systems, and deployment automation.
- Work within or support Brightspace/LMS environments where required.
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of relevant front-end development experience.
- Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Git skills.
- Solid understanding of responsive design and web accessibility.
- Strong communication and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience with D2L Brightspace LMS and WCAG accessibility standards is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with design systems, APIs, or deployment automation is a plus.
