Building a global media and business information provider in the sports & active lifestyle business
We are looking for an experienced business or financial freelance journalist/analyst for our business media Sporting Goods Intelligence Europe, The Outdoor Industry Compass, Eyewear Intelligence, and Shoe Intelligence. Our business publications provide exclusive news, insights & analysis to executives and industry professionals around the globe to gain deeper market knowledge, keep track of trends and competition. You will be writing original, forward-looking content, analysis and reports about financial results from the leading brands and retailers. We offer you the opportunity to work independently while closely cooperating with our international editorial team.
Qualifications
- You have a degree in journalism, communication sciences, business administration, finance or a similar background.
- Several years‘ professional experience as a financial or business journalist or editor (ideally with a deep understanding of the sportswear/outdoorwear retail business).
- Knowledge of financial/earnings terminology of stock listed companies and an interest in current affairs/economics.
- Experience in participating in earnings calls.
- Talent for sharp, impactful macro-economic, corporate and market analysis.
- Ability to craft plain, easy-to-understand content from complex information, turning it around on short deadlines.
- Experience in digital publishing, online content management systems and SEO.
- Team-minded, ability to work under pressure and multi-task with a high degree of personal initiative.
- Excellent skills in English both written and verbal.
