At the University of Rostock, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, in a joint appointment procedure with the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, invites applications for the position of W3 Professorship in Applied High Energy Density Physics combined with the position of Head of the Department of Applied High Energy Density Physics and member of the directorate of the Institute of High Energy Density Physics at HZDR to be filled at the earliest possible date.
The future holder of the position (all genders welcome) will be appointed as a university professor with a reduced teaching load of 2 semester hours per week (SWS) at the University of Rostock. At the same time, he or she will contribute to the establishment of the HZDR Institute for High Energy Density Physics (HEDI) in Rostock and will lead the Department of Applied High Energy Density Physics.
