We are looking for a QHSE Engineer for a permanent position at Mannerin Konepaja in Hanko.
The start date is negotiable.
Manner is the leading manufacturer of transport wheels in the Nordic countries, part of the international Colson Group.
The company designs, manufactures, and markets high‑quality transport wheels and wheel solutions for demanding applications in healthcare, logistics, and industry.
As a QHSE Engineer you will develop and maintain quality, occupational health, safety, and environmental matters in collaboration with various functions within the organization.
You will play a key role in developing the company’s operational practices, production quality and safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop ISO9001 quality management system
- Support and train personnel on quality matters
- Develop processes in production and other functions, identify bottlenecks
- Conduct internal and supplier audits
- Handle quality deviations and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Conduct root‑cause analyses
- Use and develop quality tools such as FAI and PPAP
- Monitor, analyse and report measurement and quality data
- Develop occupational safety according to group goals and guidelines
- Plan risk assessments and safety measures, monitor implementation
- Maintain safety practices such as LOTO procedures
- Maintain safety and environmental documentation (e. g., JSA, SWP)
- Report to authorities and monitor environmental impacts
- Conduct factory rounds, safety walks, and audits
- Investigate accidents and near‑misses, define preventive measures
- Conduct safety inductions for new employees and contractors
- Ensure compliance with occupational safety and environmental legislation
Qualifications
- Suitable technical education (e. g., engineer)
- Experience in QHSE, quality, or occupational safety tasks, or strong interest in the field
- Understanding of quality and safety requirements in an industrial environment
- Ability to analyse, develop and document processes
- Systematic and proactive work approach
- Good collaboration and communication skills
- Proficiency in Finnish and English, both spoken and written
- Swedish language skills are considered an advantage
