Overview
As part of our risk pool, you will strengthen the second line of defense by independently overseeing operational, market, and financial risks. You will collaborate with risk specialists to ensure robust control design and effective risk culture. The role covers both investment risk oversight and operational risk controls, with a focus on complex financial instruments and regulatory compliance. You will support reporting and training to promote sound risk practices across the organization.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Independent controls of investment risks and suitability analysis across client portfolios and products (UCITS funds, certificates, life insurance, etc.)
- Oversee operational risk controls including IT security, transaction monitoring, and fraud prevention
- Execute thematic reviews and deep-dive analyses on high-risk areas
- Manage balance sheet and credit risks (Treasury & ALM, Lombard loans, guarantees, derivatives and margin products)
- Comprehensive monitoring of financial risks and challenge of methodologies, limits, and usage
- Regulatory watch and analysis of developments affecting risk management
- Support Head of Risk with risk reports, dashboards, and audits
- Train and raise risk awareness among first-line control staff
- Promote a pragmatic, effective risk culture
Zentrale Anforderungen
- At least 5 years of experience as a Risk Manager or Auditor in financial institutions, Swiss banks, or audit firms
- Excellent knowledge of banking regulatory framework
- Experience in audits related to risk domains is a plus
- Strong understanding of financial instruments and operational banking aspects
- Excellent command of Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Methodical, rigorous, and autonomous work approach
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in French and English; German an asset
