IT Analyst and Software Engineer

Overview As Software Engineer in the IT Trading Treasury team, you own the delivery and support of order management, pricing and position keeping platforms across asset classes. You will design, code, and integrate both vendor and in-house systems used by a 50-trader desk in a fast-paced private bank. This hands-on role spans full stack development and production support, with a focus on reliable, end-to-end trading workflows. You will contribute to mission-critical front-office platforms and drive technical improvements with cross-functional partners. Leistungen / Benefits vendor and domain training hands-on ownership of critical front-office systems exposure to run and change activities collaboration with senior colleagues visible impact on trading floor dynamic, global environment Verantwortungsbereiche Develop, customise and maintain components across OMS, pricing and position keeping to meet evolving business needs Create in-house trading desk applications for integration layers, reporting, automation and health-check utilities Deliver end-to-end project work including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and documentation Work front-to-back across databases (Oracle, MS SQL), application servers (Windows, Linux) and front-end components Manage FIX protocol connectivity, including session configuration and message flow analysis Build and maintain integrations between trading platforms, market data, core banking and risk/back-office systems Ensure data consistency across heterogeneous data models and design mapping/reconciliation logic Provide L2/L3 support for trading workflows, perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes Coordinate with external vendors and internal IT teams to resolve complex incidents and communicate impact Collaborate with traders, Market Risk and Operations to translate business needs into technical solutions Zentrale Anforderungen 3–8 years in application development or support within financial services IT Solid Java and/or Python production coding experience Strong SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL); read and optimise queries; familiarity with Windows and Linux servers Understanding of financial products, pricing concepts and P Italian advantageous for Lugano; French a plus University degree in computer science, engineering, finance or equivalent composure under pressure technical curiosity proactivity Java Python SQL (Oracle, MS SQL)
