Overview
As a Field Service Engineer with EFI, you will service and install wide-format printing machines for customers across Germany, Switzerland and neighboring countries. You’ll work hands-on on-site and occasionally remotely, ensuring machine performance, customer satisfaction and opportunities to upsell EFI solutions. You’ll engage with customers, set up, calibrate and demonstrate equipment at trade shows, and collaborate with a remote team to resolve issues. This role combines technical field work with customer advocacy in a dynamic, customer-centered environment.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Drive to customer sites across Germany, Switzerland and neighboring countries to install, fix and troubleshoot EFI wide-format printers
- Perform mechanical, electrical, software and pneumatic issue resolution on machines
- Provide remote support via phone and computer when applicable
- Set up, calibrate, demonstrate and tear-down at trade shows and exhibitions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer owners, managers and users
- Work independently with limited back-up while being supported by the team
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Technical apprenticeship or qualification or degree in electrical, instrumentation, mechanical or process disciplines (preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- German and English communication skills
- Willingness to stay overnight near clients during training sessions and trade shows
- Up to 3 years post-qualification experience in a service or similar role
- Ability to work independently; driving licence Class B or equivalent
