Job Title: Junior Quality Control (QC) Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Quality Control (QC) Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should be able to write comprehensive test cases based on requirements, support developers in Test-Driven Development (TDD), and perform various testing types, including load testing and vulnerability scanning. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality, security, and performance of our software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements and specifications to create detailed test cases.
- Collaborate with developers to support Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Conduct load testing to evaluate application performance under stress.
- Perform vulnerability scanning to identify security risks in the application.
- Document and report bugs, defects, and test results effectively.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure high-quality releases.
- Ensure test cases are updated and maintained throughout the development lifecycle.
- Continuously learn and adopt new testing methodologies and tools.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in software quality control or testing.
- Ability to write detailed test cases based on requirements.
- Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and supporting developers in implementing it.
- Experience in manual and automated testing.
- Knowledge of load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Nessus).
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or other test automation frameworks.
- Understanding of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring tools like New Relic or AppDynamics.
