Overview
As a Senior Technical Packaging Advisor, you will bring packaging expertise to Elanco's External Manufacturing teams in the EMEA scope, focusing on GMP compliance and finished product oversight. You will participate in Joint Process Teams to ensure global standards are met and support CI through data-driven improvements. You will also mentor junior staff, manage packaging transfer projects, and contribute to regulatory submissions and technical inquiries. This role blends technical excellence with cross-functional teamwork in a dynamic environment.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Provide packaging process and material expertise
- Participate in Joint Process Team meetings as primary TSMS; ensure technical requirements of global standards are met
- Maintain oversight of key batch processing records (SOPs, Master Production Records, SPIs)
- Write technical reports on progress of initiatives and process metrics
- Participate in site visits to contract manufacturers to assess capability and support issue resolution
- Ensure products have appropriate control strategies
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities using data and process knowledge
- Support generation and review APRs/PQRs
- Prepare or coordinate technical inquiry papers for submissions, inspections, or Health Authorities
- Manage product/process transfer projects from a TSMS perspective
- Mentor and develop less senior TSMS scientists and engineers
- Support investigations related to deviations/complaints in packaging scope
- Support or lead new product introductions and technical transfer across hubs and external partners
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Advanced university degree or demonstrated career experience in life science or engineering (e.g., pharmacy, chemistry, chemical engineering, veterinary medicine)
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical or Chemical Production / TS/MS / Drug Development / Quality Assurance
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in packaging processes, materials and packaging design
- Strong working knowledge of applied statistics, quality systems and regulatory requirements across multiple health authorities
- Experience in technical transfer or project management of production processes at manufacturing scale
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to senior management
- Excellent ability to review and write technical reports and documents aligned with cGMP requirements
