ELANI One is the agentic operating system for renewable energy. It helps developers, IPPs and utilities get more projects to FID, faster and at lower costs.
We are looking for an experienced CTO to build the technical foundation of this new category: AI agents that work alongside development teams on permits, grid processes and investment decisions. The role is fractional and freelance, remote within Europe.
What you’ll do
- Own the technical vision and architecture of an enterprise-grade agentic platform, built for security, reliability and scale
- Translate user needs into technical requirements and define the technical roadmap
- Set engineering standards and safeguard quality through architecture and code reviews
- Support the hiring process and lead our founding engineers
- Represent our technology to customers
What you bring
- A track record as CTO or principal architect, taking B2B SaaS products to production with enterprise customers
- Deep expertise in cloud architecture, backend systems and security
- Hands-on experience bringing LLMs and AI agents into production
- Experience hiring and leading strong engineering teams
- A pragmatic startup mindset: ship early, learn from customers and iterate
- Fluent English; German and energy-sector experience are a plus
