Overview
In this role you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to government clients, aligning Elastic’s AI-powered search platform with strategic objectives. You’ll balance delivery with high-level stakeholder engagement, shaping roadmaps and facilitating executive conversations. You’ll design and demonstrate Elastic solutions in mission-critical environments, driving value and ensuring successful deployments. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role that blends engineering insight with strategic influence.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with government stakeholders
- Pivot between delivery and strategic engagements with customers
- Own the customer strategic roadmap, including quarterly sessions with senior stakeholders
- Design, develop, and integrate Elastic products and APIs within architecture and capacity plans
- Create demos and PoCs to highlight Elastic Stack value
- Model data, develop queries, and tune clusters for fast search and analytics at scale
- Collaborate with Elastic engineering, product management, and support to identify enhancements
- Coordinate with Sales to scope opportunities and assess technical risks
- Travel to on-site customer engagements as required
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Hands-on Elasticsearch and/or Lucene experience
- 2+ years as Software Engineer, System Administrator, or DevOps Engineer
- 5+ years as Consultant delivering professional services
- German security clearance (current or previously held) and fluency in German
- Experience as technical instructor or public speaker to enterprise audiences
- Ability to gather, prioritize, and execute solutions with customers
- Open-source knowledge and proficiency in at least one programming language
- Experience with large distributed systems from architecture and development perspective
- Understanding of information retrieval and/or analytics
- Linux, Java, and databases knowledge
- Ability to work onsite with customers and travel
- Strong customer advocacy and communication
- Excellent stakeholder management
- Public speaking and instructor-led training abilities
- Elasticsearch and/or Lucene expertise
- Elastic Stack demos and PoCs
- Data modeling, query development, and optimization
