At Algrano, we’re building the platform where independent coffee producers and roasters trade green coffee more transparently and efficiently. We help roasters discover and buy great coffee, and we help producers reach new customers and grow stronger, longer-term relationships. As a Product Designer, you’ll be part of our Product team (7 people), working closely with our Head of Design, Head of Product and CTO. You’ll help shape and improve the experience across key parts of the marketplace, including coffee discovery, the offers system, and inventory management and implement them alongside the Engineering team. We use an adapted agile process (Shape Up methodology) to focus on impactful work, deliver high quality, and get things done. Algrano is a Ruby on Rails web application, and design at Algrano is highly collaborative. You’ll work closely with engineering to ship thoughtful, well-crafted interfaces. Depending on your strengths, interests, and business priorities, your focus may evolve over time. What you’ll do Design and improve user-facing experiences across the Algrano marketplace Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to turn ambiguous problems into clear, usable flows and interfaces Create wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI for new features and improvements Implement your designs in code within our Ruby on Rails application using HTML opportunities for ambitious team members to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
