As a Lead Electronics Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership for the high-voltage and power electronic systems that sit at the heart of Elekta's radiotherapy solutions.
Working within our Beam Line domain, you’ll help develop and support the technologies that enable precise cancer treatment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable and innovative products that improve patient outcomes worldwide.,
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development of high-voltage, RF and pulsed-power subsystems used within our medical linear accelerators.
- Drive design, integration, verification and lifecycle activities, ensuring solutions are safe, reliable and fit for purpose.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges relating to power electronics, RF performance, thermal behaviour, reliability, grounding, shielding and EMC.
- Define technical requirements, review designs and provide engineering direction within your area of expertise.
- Collaborate closely with systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, quality and service teams, as well as external suppliers, to deliver robust and maintainable solutions.
- Support design reviews, risk management, compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives while mentoring and sharing knowledge across the team.
Qualifications
- A degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience working with power electronics, high-voltage systems, RF technologies, pulsed-power systems or other high-energy electronic applications.
- Understanding of areas such as EMC, grounding, shielding, insulation, thermal management and system reliability.
- Experience developing, testing or supporting complex electronic systems within a regulated, high-reliability or safety-critical environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues and identify practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and influence technical decision-making.
