We are currently seeking a Software Entwicklungsingenieur (m/w/d) for our client in Wedel (near Hamburg).

If you enjoy systemic thinking with a view of the overall system, like working collaboratively with other departments, are familiar with the V-Model, and are interested in working in the defense sector, then you are the perfect addition to our software engineering team for energy systems.

Responsibilities

1. Creating, updating, and adapting requirements, architecture, and interface documentation in DOORS according to project requirements.
2. Responsible for developing the software architecture.
3. Creating software designs.
4. Programming embedded software.
5. Programming drivers.
6. Incorporating Matlab Simulink outputs into software (controllers).
7. Hardware integration (collaboration with other departments such as electronics and electrical design).
8. Performing fault analysis during integration.

Job Requirements

1. Degree in computer science/electronics with a strong technical focus.
2. Relevant professional experience in embedded software programming.
3. Strong knowledge of C programming.
4. Experience with real-time operating systems (e.g., Free RTOS) and hard real-time systems.
5. Hardware-near programming of microcontrollers.
6. Deep understanding of power electronics and electrical machines.
7. High self-motivation and strong communication skills to promote efficient collaboration.
8. Structured and detail-oriented work style to ensure complete and standards-compliant documentation.
9. Proficiency with MS Office applications.
10. Excellent German skills (native or business fluent).
11. Good English skills (understanding documentation and technical queries).
12. Knowledge in control engineering, field-oriented control, PWM control of electric motors is desirable.
