In Germany, Lilly is planning and building a high-tech production facility in Alzey (Rhineland-Palatinate), expanding our injectable drug production from 2027, employing up to 1,000 specialists. To optimize our innovative production site, we are looking for motivated team members who will help ensure the supply of Lilly medicines in Germany, Europe, and worldwide, aligned with the core values of \’Excellence,\‘ \’Integrity,\‘ and \’Respect for People.\‘
Responsibilities:
The Alzey Tech @ Lilly team will deploy the full systems architecture to prepare the site for operational readiness. The role holder will coordinate the finalization of the Tech @ Lilly Project for the site, organize its deployment, and ensure the availability of local and global resources in collaboration with senior leadership and local MQ leadership.
This role will project manage major initiatives and multi-year programs impacting Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Finance processes. It will involve all aspects of project management, ensuring alignment with related workstreams and global teams. The role reports to the Alzey Senior Director.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Execute assigned programs and projects effectively.
- Provide insights into project progress, process standards, and tools; deliver agile and flexible services to business partners.
- Define effective large, multi-year program management practices and processes.
- Optimize scope, time, cost, and quality, developing action plans with local and global leaders.
- Ensure stakeholder alignment and understanding of program strategies.
- Develop, improve, verify, and enforce operational policies and procedures.
- Execute program plans to meet business and IT commitments under resource and organizational constraints.
- Manage program metrics and communicate value through reporting.
- Coordinate dependencies across workstreams and manage conflicting priorities.
- Participate in team meetings, update and communicate project status and value.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- 3-5 years’ experience leading global IT programs and projects as a Project Manager or SME.
- Knowledge of manufacturing IT systems and experience with audits, compliance, and remediation.
- Proficiency in Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
- Understanding data management principles and manufacturing processes in pharma.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of GMP regulations (e.g., FDA).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Experience mentoring teams and understanding cybersecurity best practices.
·Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in German and English.
- On-site presence required.
