Elos Medtech/Klingel, located in Pforzheim, is looking for an experienced director to head the finance department. The core perspective of your new role is to support the business from a finance perspective to enable analysis and decision-making and at the same time drive, coach and develop the finance department and local controller. Today the total finance department consists of 5 employees, serving all three German entities within the Elos Medtech Group.

Your Role

As our Finance Director you will be part of two management teams – the local production management team and the Business Unit Precision’s management team. BU Precision – one of four business units of Elos Medtech – with production at several sites in Germany, Switzerland and Denmark. The role is consequently divided in two important parts:

Key responsibilities as Finance Director Germany

1. Be part of the local production management team
2. Lead, guide and coach your employees in the finance department at the site in Pforzheim
3. Plan, organize, and execute financial tasks/projects and follow up on standard costs
4. Lead the financial reporting, month-end closing and monthly financial forecast
5. Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance and financial production performance
6. Local tax, annual accounts, transfer pricing documentation and other legal requirements for the German entities
7. Manage and monitor metrics, cashflow and KPI tracking.

Key responsibilities as BU controller

1. Be part of the BU Precision management team
2. Manage & support all BU reporting, ensuring control, accuracy, predictability and timely delivery
3. Pursuit financial targets through analysis and sharing of financial knowledge.
4. Co-ordinate and support allocations/cost share between Business Units
5. Lead the budget and forecasting processes
6. Close interaction with the business when it comes to major projects such as R&D, CAPEX and OPEX investments.

The Finance Director will report to Group Global CFO. You should be prepared for some travel activity – estimated to 10-15 days a year.

About You

We are looking for someone who thrive in a global, decentralized and growth-oriented value driven environment with high ethical standards and a strong culture.

1. +5 years’ experience from similar positions as Finance Director in production companies with an international focus
2. Strong knowledge of accounting practice, business and financial controlling
3. Good understanding of production analysis, inventory management, calculations, bill of materials, pricing etc.
4. Used to close collaboration with the production teams and the commercial part of the company
5. Experienced leader of small teams with a “hands-on” and “can-do” attitude
6. Enjoying coaching and developing the employees
7. Presenting statements, business cases, analysis, financial results etc.
8. Ability to operate in an international, cross boarder organization with different cultures
9. ERP systems – use, optimize and implement
10. M.Sc. in Finance or the like
11. Fluent in English and German verbally and in writing
