We are hiring a Federal Market Director to join our Buildings Sector. The role is based in one of our offices in Dayton, OH; New York City; Virginia Beach, VA; Miami, FL; or Orlando, FL, with remote options available. This position reports to the Executive Vice President of the Buildings Sector and is responsible for leading and managing multiple federal clients while driving revenue growth, client satisfaction, and superior service delivery.
Essential Functions
- Create and ensure a clear market development strategy for the Federal Market and deliver on Sector sales, growth, and revenue objectives for Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, NATO, Veterans Administration, and other Federal agencies in the US and abroad.
- Coordinate strategy with peers in the Infrastructure and Geospatial Sectors.
- Provide leadership in developing and continuously evaluating short‑ and long‑term strategic financial objectives with an emphasis on sales and growth.
- Drive and own the Market’s business plan to align with sector and firm strategies.
- Build and deliver a trusted advisor reputation with Woolpert clients while growing revenue and profitability through competency, delivery, and thought leadership.
- Be a subject‑matter expert on client business models and serve as Woolpert’s industry expert for relevant market and financial data.
- Achieve global growth goals by building on existing business opportunities and securing new clients to expand wallet share.
- Build, develop, and lead a team of Program Directors focused on Federal clients.
- Manage multiple priorities while meeting Woolpert and Federal Market needs.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of leadership experience within the Federal Market.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering; additional business degree a plus.
- Professional state registration in architecture or engineering a plus.
- Well‑connected in the Federal marketplace with a reputation as an expert leader.
- Strategic thinker who can translate vision into tactical execution.
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience building and managing cross‑functional teams.
- Strong organizational development skills with confidence to delegate.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, hold teams accountable, and achieve results.
- Effective communication and ability to build trust with clients and staff.
- Strong market knowledge with financial, analytical, and business acumen.
- Proactive self‑starter with a record of making sound decisions.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Pay Range: $196,600—$245,800 USD
