Hong Kong Full Stack Engineer (AI/Robotics) in Stuttgart

Job Description

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with solid full-stack development skills and a strong interest in AI and robotics technology. You will participate in the design and development of robot-related software platforms, AI applications, and internal engineering systems, taking charge of the complete technical lifecycle from front-end interaction, back-end services, and data management, to AI model inference service integration and system deployment. We hope candidates not only possess traditional software engineering skills, but also understand the basic training and inference workflows of modern AI models. You should be proficient in using AI agent coding tools such as Codex and Claude Code to boost development efficiency and adapt to an AI-native software development paradigm. This position requires participation in overseas client project delivery and on-site R&D support. Candidates must be willing to accept long-term business trips and on-site assignments in Europe, the United States, and other regions, with a cumulative overseas travel time of approximately 6-9 months per year.

Responsible for the front-end and back-end design and development of the company’s robot and AI-related platforms, including Web consoles, task management systems, data management platforms, device management platforms, and internal engineering tools.

Design and develop stable, high-performance back-end services and APIs, covering core modules such as users, devices, tasks, robot status, datasets, and model services.

Develop Web front-ends tailored for robot operation, debugging, monitoring, and data analysis, implementing features such as real-time status display, log viewing, task configuration, data visualization, and device control.

Integrate AI model services such as vision models, language models, VLAs, embeddings, and LLMs, incorporating model training and inference capabilities into practical products or internal platforms.

Understand basic model training, fine-tuning, LoRA, model evaluation, and inference workflows. Be able to handle model service deployment, API encapsulation, inference performance analysis, and troubleshooting of common issues.

Participate in the collection, storage, retrieval, and management of robot data, training data, and operational data, building reliable data processing pipelines.

Responsible for service containerization, deployment, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting to improve system stability, maintainability, and development efficiency.

Proficiently use AI agent coding tools such as Codex and Claude Code for code development, refactoring, testing, debugging, code review, and documentation generation, while exploring more efficient agentic software engineering workflows.

Participate in on-site deployment, system integration, debugging, and troubleshooting for client projects in Europe, the United States, and other regions. Be capable of independently analyzing software, network, robot system, and AI service issues on-site, and collaborating with clients and internal R&D teams to drive problem resolution.

Work closely with robotics, algorithms, model training, and on-site engineering teams to translate algorithmic and robotic capabilities into stable, user-friendly software products.

Write clear design documents, API documentation, and technical proposals, driving code quality, testing, and engineering best practices.

Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Robotics, or related fields.

Proficient in Python and familiar with TypeScript/JavaScript; strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering.

Familiar with at least one modern Web front-end technology stack such as React, Next.js, or Vue, with the ability to independently develop complex Web applications.

Familiar with at least one back-end technology stack such as FastAPI, Django, Flask, Node.js, or Go, with sound ability in designing REST API / WebSocket services.

Familiar with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, with knowledge of Redis, object storage, or other common data infrastructures.

Familiar with Linux development environments, Git, and Docker; able to independently handle service deployment, log analysis, and online troubleshooting.

Basic understanding of deep learning and large-scale models, with familiarity with fundamental concepts such as model training, fine-tuning, LoRA, checkpoints, inference, and quantization.

Familiar with common deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, able to read model training and inference code, and complete model loading, inference service encapsulation, and basic performance analysis.

Proficient in using at least one AI agent coding tool (e.g., Codex, Claude Code), and capable of applying it genuinely to daily engineering development rather than just simple code completion.

Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar codebases and complex systems, independently driving requirements analysis, architecture design, development, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.

Willing and able to accept long-term overseas business trips and client on-site residency in Europe, the United States, and other regions, with cumulative travel time of approximately 6-9 months per year; strong environmental adaptability, on-site communication skills, hands-on ability, and resilience under pressure.

Fluent in reading English technical documents and writing standard English code, commits, PRs, and technical documentation; possesses spoken English proficiency capable of meeting on-site client working needs, technical communication, and daily life interactions abroad.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in robotics, embodied AI, autonomous driving, industrial automation, or IoT system development.
• Experience in developing AI platforms, model training platforms, data platforms, or model inference services.
• Familiarity with multimodal models such as LLMs, VLMs, and VLAs, with hands-on experience in technologies like Transformers, Diffusion, and Action Models.
• Experience with PyTorch model training, LoRA / fine-tuning, or distributed training.
• Familiarity with model inference and deployment technologies such as vLLM, TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, and Triton Inference Server.
• Familiarity with CUDA, GPU runtime, model quantization, and inference performance optimizatio
• Familiarity with real-time communication technologies such as WebRTC, WebSocket, gRPC, and MQTT, with experience in real-time robotics data or video streaming system development.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud services, and modern DevOps / MLOps toolchains.
• Familiarity with ROS / ROS2, or integration experience with robot SDKs, sensors, and device control systems.
• Practical experience using AI agents for large codebase development, refactoring, or code review; familiar with agentic coding, MCP, tool calling, RAG, and related technologies.
• Experience in independently designing and delivering complete software products or platforms from 0 to 1.
• Prior experience in on-site delivery, long-term residency, or multinational R&D collaboration with overseas clients in Europe or the US is a plus.
