Your Role:
Targeted mRNA delivery has the potential to change patient lives by enabling life-changing therapies through digital innovation. An M-Ventures funded biotech start-up is poised to seize the opportunity at the intersection between our Healthcare and Life Science Divisions. Our mandate is to think big and reach across teams to leverage the full capabilities of the organization. With the agility of a startup and the resources of a leading multinational organization, the targeted mRNA delivery team is transforming the way researchers develop mRNA therapies.
As an initial member of the digital team, you will work on crafting a groundbreaking digital platform to enable the therapeutic delivery of mRNA. You will use your knowledge and understanding of AI, ML, and bioinformatics to develop digital tools to accelerate the development of mRNA-based therapeutics. You will interface with lab-based colleagues to determine effective strategies for developing real-world predictive models and use your computational expertise to implement the findings in accessible formats. Your strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of computational techniques in biology and AI modeling enable you to make strides at the forefront of mRNA innovation. You will be working in an interdisciplinary team that includes chemists, biologists, data scientists, and software engineers based around the world.
Location: This role can be operated from Darmstadt, DE, or Remote US (Boston area preferred).
Who you are:
- Degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or similar field (PhD preferred).
- 3+ years of experience preferred with a minimum of 2 years working with bioinformatics and/or ML techniques.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural teams.
- Familiarity with in-vivo and in-vitro screening assays and/or NGS data preferred.
- Experience with ML programming tools, including RDKit, Python, Tensorflow, SQL, etc. and agile working methods.
- Familiarity with Palantir Foundry or AWS computing platforms preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
