h3The Opportunity /h3 ul liWe are currently recruiting an Accounting Services Associate to join an established and expanding team in Zurich. /li liThis is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with 2–3 years' experience to take ownership of a varied client portfolio within an international professional services environment. /li liWorking closely with the Accounting Manager and wider team, you will provide day-to-day accounting and tax support to a range of clients, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and within the relevant statutory deadlines. /li liThe position offers exposure to international clients across the EMEA region, with opportunities to develop your technical knowledge and broaden your experience across accounting and taxation. /li /ul h3What You'll Be Doing /h3 ul liAs part of the Accounting Services team, your responsibilities will include: /li liManaging day-to-day accounting activities for an allocated portfolio of clients. /li liMaintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger and subsidiary accounts. /li liSupporting the preparation of annual financial statements. /li liPreparing VAT and direct tax returns. /li liMonitoring statutory filing deadlines and ensuring submissions are completed on time. /li liCoordinating deadline extensions where necessary. /li liResponding to client queries relating to accounting and taxation. /li liWorking collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth delivery of client services. /li /ul h3What We're Looking For /h3 ul liWe are keen to hear from candidates who are organised, proactive and comfortable managing their workload independently while contributing positively to a wider team. /li /ul h3You should ideally have: /h3 ul li2–3 years of relevant accounting experience. /li liPrevious experience within a professional services or accountancy environment. /li liFluency in both German and English (minimum B2 level). /li liStrong communication and interpersonal skills. /liliA responsible approach, with good attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines. /li /ul h3Additional Experience That Would Be Beneficial /h3 ul liExposure to international clients or cross-border accounting environments. /li liKnowledge of Abacus accounting software. /li liGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office. /li liAdditional language skills. /li liFurther education or professional qualifications in accounting. /li /ul pEMEA Recruitment is committed to promoting Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace.
