Fund Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager
EMEA Recruitment is partnering with a confidential global investment organisation to recruit a Fund Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager based in the Zug area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who has experience with private market semi liquid funds to join a growing team responsible for the financial oversight and reporting of complex investment structures. The role offers broad exposure across fund accounting, NAV oversight, audit coordination, and financial reporting within an international environment.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, auditors, and third-party service providers, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination of annual audits across a portfolio of regulated and complex investment structures
- Act as a key point of contact for auditors, administrators, and internal stakeholders throughout the reporting cycle
- Review and challenge NAV calculations, financial statements, and reporting packages prepared by external service providers
- Ensure financial reporting is delivered accurately and in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Support technical accounting assessments and provide guidance on accounting treatments and policy application
- Partner with external administrators to oversee periodic NAV and financial reporting processes
- Drive improvements across reporting, control, and audit coordination processes to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and external service providers
- Support the development and mentoring of junior team members
Candidate Profile
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience within fund accounting, financial reporting, audit, fund control in a financial services
- Strong IFRS knowledge; additional exposure to international accounting frameworks is advantageous
- Experience within semi-liquid funds, private markets, alternative investments, or complex fund structures is essential
- Strong understanding of NAV processes, financial reporting requirements, and audit cycles
- Excellent analytical and technical accounting capabilities
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems proficiency
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a global environment
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced setting
