Internal Controls & Risk Manager in Frankfurt am Main

Overview

In this role you will design and own Emma's Internal Control System and Risk Management Framework to support scalable global growth. You will partner with Finance, Operations, Legal and Supply Chain to embed controls into daily work while driving efficiency through data analytics and automation. You’ll lead control testing, governance, and remediation, and guide training to foster a culture of control ownership. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with significant impact on risk management across the business.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Lead and own Emma's Internal Control System, including control docs, risk matrices, and policies
• Plan and perform testing of key controls, assess design and operating effectiveness, drive remediation with control owners
• Improve control processes with data analytics and automation for scalability
• Implement the Risk Management Framework and shape risk handling across the global business
• Deliver KPIs on control coverage, quality, and effectiveness with senior leadership reporting
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Legal and Supply Chain to embed controls without slowing the business
• Coordinate internal and external audits and translate recommendations into actions
• Develop training and guidance to foster control ownership across teams

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Law or Business Administration with understanding of financial and operational risk
• 6+ years in Internal Controls, Audit, Compliance and/or Risk Management, including at least two years owning scope
• Hands-on experience in control design, testing, and documentation across business processes
• Experience in Risk Management is a plus; pragmatic framework-building for a growing global company
• Proactive, able to operate in ambiguity and build structure from scratch
• Collaborative and capable of aligning stakeholders with value of controls
• Fluent in English
