Overview
In this role you will lead Emma’s product organization to make the company a global sleep leader. You own category management, product development, and pricing, shaping a strategy that blends global ambition with local differences. You’ll oversee a cross-functional team, partner with the CEO, and drive growth through consumer-focused product decisions and strong P&L discipline. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Own category management and product development, including range architecture, lifecycle management, and pricing logic
- Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional product organization (6 direct reports, 65 members)
- Develop and execute a product strategy to establish Emma as a global sleep leader across online and offline channels
- Oversee physical product development—materials, manufacturing, supplier relationships, and cost structures
- Ground product decisions in deep consumer insights to drive satisfaction and brand preference
- Design a product architecture balancing global goals with local differences
- Act as a co-owner at Senior Leadership level, reporting to the CEO and contributing to strategy
- Think in terms of P&L to defend margins, manage complexity, and avoid range proliferation
- Build processes and accountability structures for a predictable, high-performing product org
- Develop a strong layer of senior product leaders and invest in succession and capability-building
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 12+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3–4 years in a senior leadership role
- Deep expertise in category management—assortment strategy, range architecture, pricing logic, and portfolio decision-making
- Hands-on experience in physical product development—materials, manufacturing, supplier relationships, cost structures
- Background in branded consumer goods with proprietary R&D
- Operationally deep—comfortable leading through doing, not just directing
- Proven decision-maker under ambiguity who can provide clarity under conflicting directions
- Experience at scale (1,000+ people, multi-market, multi-category)
- Strong cross-functional collaborator who sees product as a platform for company-wide impact
