Billing & Collections Specialist in Berlin

• As Billing and Collections Specialist you join our Billing and Collections team in the Finance department, working across billing, collections and AR for emnify GmbH and our Brazilian entity
• You work alongside experienced colleagues who onboard you, back them up across our core processes, and grow into ownership of defined areas as you build expertise
• Along the way you help us make these processes faster and more automated
• Billing: maintain customer master data, prepare and issue manual invoices (SIM orders, monthly settlements) and support the automated monthly bill run
• Payments: prepare and run SEPA direct debit, card and PayPal charging cycles, including returns, suspensions and reactivations in line with our collections policy
• Collections: follow up on overdue balances, handle the billing inbox and Zendesk queue, and resolve disputes together with Customer Success
• AR monitoring: apply payments, clean up open items, prepare the AR ageing and support provisions for doubtful debts, overpayment and write-off proposals
• Month-end close: deliver B&C close tasks on time, including PSP reconciliations (Braintree, PayPal, AMEX)
• Team: act as backup for your colleagues across these processes and take on ownership of defined areas as you build expertise
• Improvement: contribute to our ERP integration project (testing, process documentation) and to automation and AI initiatives that reduce manual work

Accuracy, process discipline and a habit of documenting what you doFrom 3 to 5 years in billing, collections or accounts receivable, ideally in a high-volume B2B environment-Solid understanding of VAT on invoices, cash application and the accounting behind receivablesGenuine interest in automation, data and AI tools to simplify processesExperience with direct debit and card or PSP payment processesExcellent written English and confidence in customer communication
