Senior Full Stack Developer - Remote Driving Platform (m/w/d)

Your mission

You are the technical mind behind our platform. As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you understand our customers\‘ processes and use cases – from connecting our teleoperated forklift trucks to integrating them into our customers\‘ warehouse management systems. You will design our platform so that it is scalable, performant and tailored to our customers\‘ requirements. You will work internally on the further development of the platform, manage external development partners and make strategic architectural decisions.

Your profile

• Several years of experience in the development of web-based platforms (front- and backend), e.g. with React.js, Node.js, Spring Boot, PostgreSCL, Python
• Sound know-how in the software architecture of complex systems (cloud-based, microservices, APIs)
• Experience in the integration of cloud technologies and DevOps practices (CI/CD, GitOps, containerization, Kubernetes)
• Experience in the integration of APIs, databases and external interfaces
• Ability to manage external development partners and work with them in a goal-oriented manner
• Understanding of agile software development methods and project management experience
• Very good German skills in order to take part in customer appointments
• Knowledge of logistics and warehouse management systems (e.g. VDA 5050) desirable
• Experience in connecting autonomous vehicles or robot fleets to backend systems desirable
• Technical business analytics skill to translate customer requirements into technical specs desirable

Your tasks

• Technical ownership and architecture:
  • Conception and further development of the platform architecture with a focus on scalability, security and performance
  • Deciding on technical stacks, tools and frameworks to implement customer requirements in the best possible way
• Use case orientation and integration:
  • In-depth understanding of the business processes and use cases for which the platform is used (e.g. teleoperated forklifts, WMS integration)
  • Ensuring a smooth connection to warehouse management systems and other customer systems
• Independent further development and implementation:
  • Hands-on implementation of features and bug fixes in a full-stack environment
  • Creation of proof-of-concepts and further development of the platform in close coordination with the CTO and Product Manager
• Coordination of internal and external resources:
  • Close cooperation with external development partners to implement projects efficiently and purposefully
  • Management and technical guidance of internal (junior) developers in order to build up internal skills in the long term
