Overview

Manager (m/f/d) Short-Term Gas Position Management – Trading at EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG.

Responsibilities

• Lead optimisation of EnBW\’s short-term gas portfolio, focusing on day-ahead and intraday spot balancing, flow trading, regasification, and storage and transport capacity trading.
• Take responsibility for gas trading and gas dispatching activities (storage/transport) for the delivery of material P&L.
• Develop and manage a physically aligned trading business and coordinate activities with other departments to take advantage of additional market insights.
• Develop new strategies, especially in automated gas trading.
• Lead implementation of new trade and logistics products, working closely with the Commercial Scheduling shift team.

Qualifications

• University degree in a commercial, technical or scientific field, ideally with a focus on the energy industry.
• Highly structured, proactive and team-oriented approach, even under pressure, with a strong sense of responsibility and commercial acumen.
• Willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, with attractive compensation and flexible team organisation.
• Advanced IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, essential; knowledge of VBA or Python for automation and analysis highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in English required; proficiency in an additional European language advantageous.
