Vielfältige Aufgaben
Within the IT Trading department, we are currently looking for a Data Architect (Trading) to join our dynamic Data Cluster team. Data architects define an organization's data vision and put it into practice. To be a perfect fit, you have a deep understanding of data modelling patterns, data access patterns, cloud architecture and common IT systems prevalent in European commodity trading. In this role your main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Design, develop, and maintain data products to support data mesh domains and other data-driven architectures across the Trading organization.
- Translate business requirements into databases, data warehouses, and data streams.
- Define data services (data products) and data access patterns (e.g., API Endpoints) for data domain stakeholders, including documentation to provide visibility to various groups.
- Develop application programming interfaces (APIs) and other connectors to retrieve data.
- Analyse, plan, and define data architecture frameworks, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data.
- Consider End-to-End data processes while designing data products.
- Collaborate with other teams within the organization to devise and implement data strategies, build models, and assess shareholder needs and goals.
- Ensure that data modelling and data access patterns are consistent across various data domains while supporting time2market on implementation timeline and dependencies.
- Work in an Agile environment in close collaboration with architects, engineers, product owners and business consumers.
- Consult teams to ensure that operability is given, and data quality assurance processes are set up.
- Address data governance topics, such as maintenance of the data catalogue, communication to data stewards etc.

Who are we looking for? Someone who's passion is data, and the way data will be used in the future. Your modelling expertise ensures that processes and people have fast access to structured data in a consistent way. You can manage the trade-off between best-in-class design on data modelling versus pragmatic solution design patterns to support fast time to market for data driven use cases. Together with your team and domain experts you will develop the Data Domains for EnBW Trading. If you have proven experience in the following domains, we should get to know each other:
- Education: University degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics or in a related field.
- Soft skills: Excellent communication skills in English and German to get teams and stakeholders on board and convey the meaning and purpose of the teams' work.
- Experience: Several years' professional experience of working in complex data ecosystems, including:
- modelling of data products in a data mesh environment
- multiple forms of data connectors and underlying data stores (relational, analytical or in-memory databases, objects/JSON stores, Big Data Stores - Snowflake) and their integration
- solution design and various coding as well as data manipulation languages and tools (Python, SQL, REST, C#, Git, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- real-time data and integration patterns
- Solution Design of large-scale data (-mesh) ecosystems
- Meta- and master data structures and organization including data access management
- Data related cloud capabilities (S3, Snowflake, API Gateway, AAD, Collibra, Data Pipelines, Kinesis, Kafka, etc.)
- latest trends and best practices in enabling data driven business solutions at enterprise scale
- security principles and data protection practices
- Experience in Trading (energy, investment banking, etc.)

The team works remotely most of the time, but we meet regularly at our offices in Karlsruhe, Germany.
