Project Manager EPC – Renewable Energy Projects

As a Project Manager EPC, you take ownership of utility‑scale renewable energy projects and ensure their successful delivery from the ready‑to‑build stage through to commissioning.

You coordinate a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, manage technical and commercial interfaces, and ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

This role offers you the opportunity to play a key role in expanding Encavis’ renewable energy portfolio while contributing directly to the energy transition.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Delivery: Full responsibility for PV and BESS projects from the ready‑to‑build stage through to commissioning and handover to Operations.

Management: Structure and manage projects in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including Engineering, Procurement, Finance, PPA, Legal, HSE, and Operations teams.

  • Tendering & Contract Management: Coordinate tender processes and support the negotiation and award of EPC and major component contracts.
  • Schedule, Cost & Risk Management: Oversee project schedules, budgets, forecasts and risk management activities to ensure successful project execution.
  • Stakeholder & Team Coordination: Lead and facilitate internal and external project teams, ensuring effective communication, alignment and knowledge sharing.
  • Construction & Commissioning Oversight: Monitor construction activities, ensure quality standards are met and manage the commissioning process through to operational handover.
  • Governance, HSE & ESG Compliance: Ensure compliance with governance requirements, HSE standards, ESG commitments and relevant technical regulations.

Qualifications

  • Academic Background: Degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable field.
  • Relevant Professional Experience: At least three years of experience in the development, construction or delivery of renewable energy projects, ideally in PV, wind or BESS.
  • Project Management Expertise: Proven experience managing complex projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders and interfaces.
  • Contracting & Procurement Knowledge: Solid knowledge of EPC contracting, procurement processes, contract management and commercial negotiations.
  • Financial & Commercial Understanding: Experience working with Investment and Finance teams and comfortable assessing technical and commercial assumptions.
  • Tools & Systems Expertise: Proficient in MS Excel and project management tools and able to interpret financial and project models.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Communicate clearly and transparently, work in a goal‑oriented manner and thrive in collaborative team environments.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; additional language skills such as German, Spanish or Italian are considered an advantage.
