Design Engineer Overview Our client, a specialist in high voltage grid infrastructure, is expanding into the German market, and is looking for a Design Engineer to join the team as part of that build out. This is a chance to get in early on a growing operation, working across projects ranging from LV through to 110kV, with the potential to work up to 380kV. You will work as part of a team reviewing Transmission System Operator (TSO) requirements and compiling adoptable and private designs for grid connections. You will also support the conceptual design of energy projects, principally solar farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The Opportunity This role sits at the heart of Germany's grid connection and power systems space, one of the most talent short disciplines in the current energy transition. You will be involved in projects spanning generation and storage, working directly with TSOs, and helping shape how the business delivers designs as it establishes itself in a new market. The role is remote, based in Germany, with occasional in-person days in Berlin (approximately once a month). You will report directly to the Country Director.
