Tasks

• As an IT project manager, you will develop comprehensive project plans and define relevant milestones for cross-divisional projects.
• You continuously monitor project progress and act proactively to minimize risks and solve problems.
• In addition, you will ensure that appropriate project governance structures are defined, agreed and implemented, including appropriate staffing.
• The overall responsibility for the project is in your hands. You will lead one or more cross‑functional teams of business and IT experts and ensure a positive team culture and targeted development of team members to achieve the set project goals.
• You communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure that all relevant parties are continuously informed about the project status. You identify the communication requirements of stakeholders and translate these into project governance and planning.
• You will implement effective risk management and quality control mechanisms to ensure that the solutions provided meet the requirements and objectives of the project.
• Coaching, advising and developing the project manager colleagues in relevant project management functions round off your area of responsibility.
• You will work independently on the continuous improvement of the methodology toolbox and PMO‑relevant processes.

Requirements

• You have a degree in computer science, business informatics, economics, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification.
• You have several years of experience in project management of complex, cross‑functional projects and in the Project Management Office. Ideally, you also have experience in multi‑project management and in managing internal and external project partners.
• Ideally, you are familiar with the processes of a utility company and business IT. You also have experience in escalation and de‑escalation management and are familiar with the relevant tools, such as MS Project.
• You are characterized by a high degree of initiative, a sense of responsibility and independent work. You enjoy making decisions and work reliably as part of a team.
• You can use your active communication skills effectively in a demanding work environment, also in English if required. You also have the ability to motivate and harmonize the needs of different stakeholders.
