Your responsibilities:

• Providing technical and disciplinary leadership to the staff of the integrated network control center
• Organizing and ensuring reliable 24/7 operation of the electricity and water supply systems
• Conducting strategic personnel planning and developing training and continuing education programs
• Monitoring and coordinating the operations of the grid control center for the electricity supply (20 kV and 110 kV) as well as the water supply systems
• Planning and monitoring switching operations in the medium- and high-voltage grid
• Controlling feed-ins, redispatch measures, congestion management, and other grid-stabilizing measures
• Operating, further developing, and optimizing control center, telecontrol, and automation technology
• Leading and managing hardware and software projects for the interconnection control center
• Coordinating and managing external service providers as well as deployed hardware and software systems
• Developing and implementing measures for information security management (ISMS)
• Analyzing and optimizing processes, organizational structures, and workflows
• Developing and coordinating budget, investment, and business plans
• Coordinating incident management as well as regulatory reporting requirements
• Participating in shift work at the Verbund grid control center during staffing shortages

Qualifications:

• A successfully completed degree in electrical engineering or energy engineering; alternatively, advanced training leading to a master craftsman’s or technician’s certification in electrical engineering with relevant professional experience
• Several years of professional experience in grid operations, at a grid control center, or in a comparable technical environment
• In-depth knowledge of control systems, telecontrol systems, process integration, and automation technology
• Extensive experience in feed-in, redispatch, and congestion management
• Knowledge of the operation of power grids and, ideally, water supply systems
• Knowledge of relevant technical regulations and standards, particularly DIN VDE and occupational safety regulations
• Ideally, experience in information security management (ISMS)
• Proficiency in MS Office and GIS applications
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work
• Class B driver’s license
