Freelance SAP PP Consultant | Remote | Germany

The Opportunity We're currently supporting a large-scale S/4HANA transformation programme for a leading organization within the mining and process industry sector and are looking for an experienced SAP PP / PP-DS Consultant to join the programme on a freelance basis. The programme is entering a critical phase, with testing activities underway and go-live planned for early 2027. As a result, the client is looking to strengthen the Production Planning workstream with an experienced SAP PP consultant who can provide hands-on expertise, business process insight and strong delivery capability. This is an opportunity to join a major S/4HANA programme where your input will have a direct impact on the success of the production stream and overall transformation. Tasks Hands-on SAP PP configuration and customizing Supporting the SAP PP workstream through testing and go-live preparation Troubleshooting production planning and process-related issues Reviewing and enhancing existing planning processes Providing expertise around SAP PP and/or PP-DS design and implementation Working closely with programme leadership, business stakeholders and technical teams Ensuring solutions align with operational and business requirements Supporting integration touchpoints across the wider SAP landscape We are looking for Strong hands-on configuration and customizing expertise in SAP PP and/or PP/DS Experience with SAP PP-DS is advantageous but not required Strong understanding of production planning and manufacturing processes from both business & IT perspective Ability to engage with business stakeholders and translate business requirements into SAP solutions Experience within supply chain planning environments would be advantageous Understanding of SAP FI/CO integration points is beneficial but not required Fluent German and English language skills Contract Details Start: ASAP Duration: initially until end of 2026, likely beyond this Utilization: 50% potential to increase/ramp up Remote: Almost entirely remote, with occasional travel to Germany (1 day every 2-3 months) Languages: Fluent German (must) & fluent English Additional contact details If this could be of interest, or if you know someone suitable within your network, please get in touch.
