Service Owner - IT Asset & Contract Management

About us We are working with a major organisation in the industrial sector that is expanding and professionalising its ServiceNow environment. As part of this transformation, the company is creating a new Service Owner position responsible for Software Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management and associated contract processes. The role connects operational asset-management teams, procurement, internal stakeholders and an external ServiceNow Managed Service Provider. This is not a ServiceNow development position; the focus is on process ownership, governance, platform adoption and supplier steering. Tasks Take ownership of Software Asset Management and Hardware Asset Management processes Develop and optimise the complete lifecycle of software and hardware assets Ensure asset and contract processes are effectively mapped within ServiceNow Translate business and operational requirements into ServiceNow enhancements Act as the primary interface between internal stakeholders and the external ServiceNow provider Steer external development, configuration and enhancement activities Increase the adoption of ServiceNow out-of-the-box capabilities Identify opportunities for process standardisation, optimisation and automation Support software-licensing and contract-management processes Work closely with procurement, IT Asset Management and the ServiceNow platform team Define process requirements, priorities and acceptance criteria Contribute to ServiceNow roadmap planning and platform governance Monitor platform performance and ensure enhancements deliver business value Establish clear documentation, ownership and reporting structures Profile At least three years of professional ServiceNow experience Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Software Asset Management Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management Practical experience in IT Asset Management Strong understanding of software and hardware asset lifecycles Experience managing vendors, Managed Service Providers or external implementation partners Ability to translate business requirements into platform and process improvements Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills Process-oriented mindset with a focus on governance and continuous improvement Independent, proactive and structured working style Fluent German and good English skills Desirable experience: Software contract or licence management ServiceNow CMDB ServiceNow ITOM ITIL certification or ITIL-based working experience Previous experience as a Service Owner, Process Owner or Product Owner We offer Salary of up to €100,000 Hybrid working with approximately 20% onsite presence in Hanover A newly created role with significant ownership and influence Opportunity to shape SAM and HAM processes from an early stage Central position within an enterprise ServiceNow transformation Close collaboration with platform, procurement and asset-management teams Modern technology environment with strong investment in ServiceNow Long-term development opportunities within a large organisation BahnCard and additional corporate benefits Additional contact details Stewart Hudson StewartH@EnergizeRec.com
