- Enhance and maintain foundational platform tools and systems
- Work hands-on with Kubernetes clusters, AWS infrastructure and Terraform-based configuration management
- Integrate and manage open-source components to provide robust, scalable primitives for engineering teams
- Build and maintain services that abstract and orchestrate infrastructure
- Design and implement backend services, including APIs and controllers, to provide a simplified self-service experience for engineers
- Develop software for infrastructure migrations, high-scale traffic management and security tooling

- Significant professional software engineering experience
- Experience writing, testing and deploying robust backend services using strongly typed languages
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP
- Proficiency with Kubernetes
- Experience solving problems through automation
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform
- Curiosity about systems and ability to investigate complex issues
- Understanding of how modern distributed applications fail and scale
- Interest in building platforms focused on reliability, performance and developer experience
- Comfort working with ambiguity and evolving requirements
