Overview
In this role you drive electrical design and coordination for major data centre projects from our Frankfurt office. You will lead project delivery, mentor teams, and ensure solutions meet safety, regulatory, and client requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to shape sustainable, low-energy building services. This is a chance to influence high-profile projects within a global consultancy and advance towards Chartered Engineer status. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead major projects and manage design and coordination of electrical building services
- Conduct feasibility studies, prepare fee bids, and diagnose project cost/profit
- Monitor progress, adjust schedules, and prepare management/client reports
- Specify control systems and operating software for building services
- Survey and report on existing electrical/mechanical installations
- Ensure designs meet functional specs, legal standards, and customer requirements
- Represent the company at technical meetings with clients and contractors
- Provide day-to-day project decisions and client liaison
- Oversee risk management and internal controls, and coordinate engineering services
- Support project delivery per RED processes across PM, finance, QA/QC, and technical reviews
Zentrale Anforderungen
- BSc/BEng in engineering or equivalent experience
- Chartered Eng status
- Significant experience in specification design for diverse building types
- Strong health and safety knowledge and legislation
- Familiarity with contract and business law
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel) and calculation/spreadsheet software
- Understanding of BS standards/UK regulations
- Experience with invoicing and credit control
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Leadership, mentoring, and presentation skills
- Experience in consulting or construction; international operations advantageous
