DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Fleet Operations Manager responsible for the safety, compliance, availability, and customer sentiment of the fleet in their respective region of Germany. The successful candidate will execute business strategies and develop innovative, simplified solutions for optimal outcomes. They will implement best practices and play a key role within the larger fleet organization across Europe.

Key job responsibilities

1. Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with local regulations and Amazon standards by conducting audits and gathering regional feedback in collaboration with Fleet Compliance and Product teams.
2. Implement existing fleet initiatives and support new product launches; engage with delivery partners to help manage their fleet effectively.
3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex operational issues, manage escalations, and influence decision-making.
4. Manage vehicle operational readiness and cosmetic standards by analyzing data from various fleet management sources to enhance customer experience.
5. This role is based at a delivery station within Germany and requires 30-40% travel within the region, with occasional travel across Europe.

About the team

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) manages last-mile delivery in partnership with third-party providers. We focus on continuous improvement to deliver millions of products smoothly and efficiently, supporting services like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants. Our team includes \’under the roof\‘ associates handling dispatch operations and \’on the road\‘ delivery contractors working with Amazon Flex. We innovate to improve customer experience, reduce our carbon footprint, and incorporate electric vehicles and new technologies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor\’s degree
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and building partnerships
• Ability to collaborate across management levels and cultures
• Strong prioritization skills in a high-volume environment
• Excellent communication skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
• Proficiency in German and English
• Preferred location: Bavaria or Austria (Munich or Vienna)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree (Master’s or MBA)
• Relevant experience in fleet management, operations, or mobility services
