Responsibilities:
- Translate and proofread complex commercial, financial, technical, and legal documents of various lengths, e.g. quarterly/annual financial reports, engineering documents, and procurement contracts, primarily from German to English but occasionally from English to German.
- Review business correspondence in matters of grammar, style, and orthography in cooperation with Aurubis’ departments.
- Occasionally coordinate assignments to translation agencies during busy periods.
- Carry out various administrative tasks.
Your Profile
- Translation certification (IHK or similar) or corresponding bachelor’s degree.
- Native English speaker (preferably American English).
- Very good German language skills; additional foreign languages advantageous.
- Very good MSOffice skills (especially Microsoft Word and PowerPoint).
- Good knowledge of memoQ or similar CAT software.
- Basic InDesign/InCopy skills; experience with WoodWing (content management program) beneficial.
- Strong business and technical vocabulary.
