About the role
We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated student/individual, to support various system test activities in a fast-paced & challenging environment. You will join a team focused on Systems Integration, electronic board analysis and testing, and you will support setting up complete end-to-end systems tests. The maximum weekly working hours are 16 hours. This role at Enphase requires working onsite and home office is not permitted.
What you will be doing

  • Assist in setting up test cases for smart power management systems, including PV inverters, storage batteries, generators, and EV chargers.
  • Work with test automation (Python-based) and operate lab equipment such as power meters (Yokogawa), oscilloscopes (Keysight), and DC supplies and other lab test equipment to ensure complete functional, efficiency, and safety testing coverage for Enphase’s system.
  • Troubleshoot system failures and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Create technical documentation and maintain test records.
  • Support testing multiple interconnected products to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Prepare electronic board schematics and perform tests on electronic boards.
  • Present findings to the engineering team to improve future generations of products.

Who you are and what you bring

  • Hands-on, practical experience working with electrical power systems at 240/400V AC (e.g., three-phase systems), including safe operation, measurement, and troubleshooting in a lab or field environment.
  • Hands-on experience in electronic design and device teardown, with a strong analytical mindset to reverse-engineer circuits, derive system schematics, and specify targeted measurement points, demonstrating high focus and dedication during deep-dive hardware analysis
  • Programming skills in Python, with practical experience in test automation, data acquisition, or test result analysis.
  • Background in electrical or electronic engineering (enrolled student, technician, bachelor’s, or master’s level) or equivalent proven practical experience.
  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuit theory, power systems, and electrical safety.
  • Practical laboratory experience using professional test equipment such as power analyzers (e.g., Yokogawa), oscilloscopes (e.g., Keysight), simulators, DC power supplies, and related lab instrumentation.
  • Experience controlling and automating test equipment via GPIB, TCP/IP, USB, RS232, or similar communication interfaces.
  • Ability to interact with databases for retrieving test records and logging test results.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems and performing root cause analysis.
  • Fluent in English (minimum C1 level), Business fluency in German is preferred.
  • Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a structured, problem‑solving mindset.
  • Demonstrated passion for renewable energy, innovation, and contributing to a sustainable future.
