My career started in the commodities trading space, at Archer Daniels Midland Company, where I was given the unique opportunity to get proper skin-in-the-game on derivatives & physical markets, develop a very strong commercial acumen, and eventually built a small division from the ground up.

In 2020, I was nominated a “Global Trade Leader” by the Hinrich Foundation, and was given a merit-based scholarship to pursue my MBA at INSEAD in Singapore.

Post-MBA, I moved to Switzerland and joined RBI (a 3G Capital Private Equity Investment Portfolio Company), where I served in advisory and eventually headed the Strategic Finance for EMEA region.

I have worked & studied in Greece, Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Singapore and Switzerland over the last 15 years. I am actively involved in the Swiss Startup Nights Association, but love hiking and travelling when time permits!

Your Responsibilities

As a Finance Manager (d/f/m), you will take a central role in most of the finance-related topics: from Strategic Finance / FP&A, to Tech/Automation implementation, and Fundraising. This is a unique opportunity to support in designing and building processes and standards from the ground up, driving innovation and efficiency at every step, and have a “helicopter view” of the company’s business model. You will have the authority to set best practices, introduce scalable solutions, and implement future-ready workflows that support our ambitious growth. Your Core Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Actuals – support in the implementation of our FP&A system (Abacum), and eventually be co-responsible for the Actuals reporting & variance analysis, including insights and proposals for corrective actions.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Forecasts – financial modeling on our FP&A platform. This includes provision of inputs across departments through regular and ad-hoc business partnering.
• New Countries Set-Up – Support in the creation of new entities, the adoption of ERP systems, and the integration with our “single-source-of-truth database”
• AP/AR Oversight – Support on accounts payable/receivable internally and externally. Ensure payments are executed correctly and timely. Be the go-to person regarding escrow accounts, collaterals, and client reporting topics
• Payment / Invoice & Accrual Automation – Co-lead projects relating to full automation of internal finance tasks
• Fundraising – Help the finance team in preparatory tasks relating to future fundraising initiatives
• Operational Finance – Share responsibility with other team members on invoice management, payments, T&E management, or other tasks, as they arise.
• Admin Support – Work closely with the founder’s associate, the finance operations team, or other departments on ad-hoc projects; examples include bank-accounts opening, KYC documentation, public grants applications

Your Profile

Mandatory Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Finance, ideally in a high-growth fast paced environment
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative field from a leading institution (Master’s degree and/or CFA preferred)
• Proven track record of strategic financial thinking and autonomous working style
• Business proficiency (C2) in English; German (B2+) would be beneficial

Skills to Set You Apart

• Experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups with concrete examples of having to “wear multiple hats”
• Hands-on experience leading complex finance set-ups, with JVs, Subsidiaries abroad, and rather complex transactions (for example, negative prices on commodities etc)
• Strong understanding of FP&A processes and its success factors
• Initiatives relating to process automation through adoption of digital tools
• Ownership and accountability for end-to-end finance processes and projects
