A Short Note from Your Future Lead

Matt Fei

Manager Software Engineering - Entrix

Hi there!

I’m an engineering leader with 20+ years of software engineering experience across enterprise software, cloud platforms, developer tools, remote desktop, and engineering management. I have worked as an individual contributor, tech lead, and people manager, giving me a strong balance of hands-on technical depth and leadership experience.

Most recently, I led a 13-engineer team at Microsoft, delivering flagship features for Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop, including Windows App, Windows 365 web client, Boot-to-CloudPC, and Windows 365 Switch, while maintaining Remote Desktop clients used by millions of users.

My leadership style focuses on clear ownership, customer impact, pragmatic engineering standards, and growing engineers through trust, feedback, and meaningful challenges.

  • At Microsoft (2011 - 2024), I grew from senior software engineer to tech lead and principal engineering manager. Most recently, I built and led a 13-engineer team delivering key Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop experiences, while maintaining Remote Desktop clients used by millions. Earlier, I worked on Azure IoT, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, Linq2Sql, ClickOnce, Visual Studio, open-source projects, and developer experience improvements.
  • At Wicresoft (2004 - 2011), I grew from software engineer to engineering lead and senior group manager. I led enterprise software delivery teams, managed Microsoft outsourcing projects with 50+ developers, built new products from the ground up, supported business planning, managed project delivery and margins, and mentored junior engineers.

At Entrix, we believe that our success is built on the strength of our team. We foster a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where everyone can thrive and make a meaningful impact. Having spent over eight years working for Silicon Valley companies, I bring that experience to help shape our innovative culture.

If you're passionate about pioneering technological solutions and eager to be part of a dynamic and international team, I encourage you to explore the opportunities we offer. Together, we can drive innovation and achieve remarkable milestones.

Thank you for considering a future with us. I look forward to the possibility of working together to shape the future of technology,
