We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Consultant - Health & Safety to join our growing Health & Safety team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of industrial, manufacturing, energy, technology and infrastructure clients, helping them improve safety performance, manage risk, and achieve regulatory compliance across their operations and capital projects. As a Senior Consultant, you will deliver high-quality Health & Safety consulting services, manage project workstreams, support client development activities, and contribute to the continued growth of ERM's Health & Safety practice.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Health & Safety consulting projects for clients across multiple sectors.
- Conduct compliance audits and regulatory assessments against local legislation and international best practices.
- Support clients in the development, implementation, and improvement of Health & Safety management systems.
- Perform Health & Safety risk assessments, gap analyses, and management reviews.
- Develop practical solutions to address compliance gaps and improve organizational safety performance.
- Prepare technical reports, audit findings, corrective action plans, and client presentations.
- Manage project tasks, budgets, schedules, and client communications.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated EHS and sustainability solutions.
- Support proposal preparation and business development activities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through high-quality project delivery.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline.
- Several years of relevant Health & Safety consulting or industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, management systems, and industry best practices.
- Experience conducting compliance audits, management system assessments, or risk assessments.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and other relevant management system standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and report writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma, IOSH, CSP, CMIOSH, SiFa, Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, data center, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience supporting contractor management, construction safety, or operational risk programs.
- Additional knowledge of environmental management systems (ISO 14001) is advantageous.
- German and English fluency required; additional European languages are a plus.
