ERM is a fast-growing organization, and as part of our ambitious expansion plans, we’re looking for a highly skilled Principal Consultant in Contaminated Site Management to join our team. This role will involve taking the lead on site investigation, risk assessment, and soil & groundwater remediation projects. This position requires strong leadership, project management skills, and expertise in environmental regulations and safety, with a focus on successfully delivering projects within deadlines and budgets.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Be a Project Manager in site investigation, risk assessment and soil & groundwater remediation projects.
  • Be an expert in our international team regarding planning of investigation programs, hydrogeological studies as well as remedial design and planning.
  • Educate and coach our junior and mid-level technical consultants in their technical and scientific skills.
  • Be familiar with proposal preparation, quality management, costs and deadlines, occupational safety, health protection, as well as accident avoidance.
  • Work with our teams and clients to successfully deliver existing projects and develop new projects.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Good Master degree or equivalent in hydrogeology/geology/water science or similar.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in site investigation and remediation, groundwater related studies, water resources management, and management of contaminated sites.
  • Experience with international projects.
  • Proficiency (written and oral) in German and a good command in English.
  • Knowledge in BBodSchG, BBodSchV.
  • Proficient computing skills, especially in Microsoft office.
  • Independent, flexible and structured style of working.
  • Interest in working with clients.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel.
