Overview
As a Senior Product Development Engineer at Nobel Biocare, you lead technical projects to advance dental implant solutions within the Design Control and Idea to Market framework. You drive verification, validation, and cross-functional documentation to meet milestones, while coordinating external partners and identifying patentable innovations. You influence process and product improvements and collaborate with IP teams to protect and scale new offerings. This role combines technical leadership with a focus on patient outcomes and regulatory-aligned product development.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Design and develop products per Design Control and Idea to Market processes
- Plan, perform and coordinate design verification and validation activities
- Ensure timely, quality documentation to meet milestones
- Lead cross-functional documentation for new product development per Design Control and Risk Management
- Manage external partners, suppliers, and KOLs for development activities
- Identify patentable designs and file patents with IP
- Identify process and product improvements and support inter-department requests
- Report achievements to line and project managers and escalate challenges as needed
Zentrale Anforderungen
- BSc, MSc or equivalent in biomedical or mechanical engineering
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
- Strong analytical and result-oriented mindset with interest in innovation
- Ability to analyze issues and make rational judgments
- Strong interpersonal skills and high integrity
- Excellent organizational skills and task prioritization
- Understanding of user needs, clinical and laboratory workflows
- Proficiency with 3D CAD, CAM, SAP, MS Office and related Design Control/Idea to Market processes
- Knowledge of CNC manufacturing methods
- Excellent technical writing for documentation
- Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional technical project teams
- 5+ years in medical device product development or technical project leadership, preferably in dental industry
- Experience leading projects and teams in matrix organizations
