Overview
As Big Data Test Manager, you will define and lead the end-to-end test strategy for a large-scale Data Lakehouse program in a regulated banking environment. You will work with data engineers, platform teams and stakeholders across global, distributed environments to ensure robust data validation and quality. You will drive test automation for data pipelines, data quality reconciliation and pipeline execution, and oversee governance, entry/exit criteria and release readiness. This role offers impact on enterprise-scale data platforms and a chance to shape testing in a highly regulated domain.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Define and lead the end-to-end test strategy for the Data Lakehouse program
- Drive test automation for data validation, quality reconciliation and pipeline timing in Kubernetes-based CI/CD
- Coordinate integration testing across 70+ connected applications and global environments
- Oversee testing for data pipelines, banking domain data products and Platform-as-a-Service capabilities
- Establish test governance, entry/exit criteria, defect management and quality standards
- Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams, product owners and application owners to resolve cross-functional issues and align test coverage
- Drive production readiness and release validation for platform and data ecosystem changes
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Proven experience managing testing within large-scale enterprise data platforms (Data Lakes/Data Lakehouses/Data Warehouses) in regulated environments
- Strong understanding of data testing, data quality validation, reconciliation, schema drift and data lineage
- Hands-on experience in test automation for data pipelines, APIs and data platform services
- Experience coordinating integration and regression testing across distributed environments without direct downstream ownership
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, S3 Object Storage and containerized DevOps pipelines
- Experience scaling test automation frameworks for high-volume data validation and pipeline testing
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication in global, regulated contexts
- Higher education in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred
- English proficiency; German language skills are an advantage
- Previous banking/financial services or other regulated sector experience
