ph3Mission /h3 pThe Professor Courtine's laboratory at EPFL is offering a position for a Test Engineer to work on the development of neurorehabilitation therapies for patients with motor disabilities (spinal cord injury). /p h3Mission /h3 pThe Professor Courtine's laboratory at EPFL is offering a position for a Test Engineer to work on the development of neurorehabilitation therapies for patients with motor disabilities (spinal cord injury). /p pOur mission is to conceive and deploy innovative interventions to restore motor functions after central nervous system disorders, especially spinal cord injury, and to translate our findings into clinical applications capable of improving the quality of life for people with motor impairments. /p pPlease visit the .NeuroRestore website to learn more about our mission. /p h3Main Duties And Responsibilities /h3 ul liSupporting .NeuroRestore researchers and clinicians at CHUV by verifying and validating robust software that contributes to various stages of therapy development (including: imagery, therapy optimisation, interface with the electrical stimulators, home use) /li liEnsuring medical grade software quality following industry best practices for patients' usage at home and for researchers in rehabilitation facilities /li liDesigning, coding, and driving the automation of test suites across the software stack /li liBuilding and improving a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test bench for systems interfacing with sensors and spinal cord stimulators /li liDefining and executing test strategies (unit, integration, system, regression) with a strong emphasis on traceability and reproducibility /li liProviding remote as well as on site support to researchers, clinicians and patients in using those tools and systems /li liContributing to release testing, verification validation documentation, and quality records in line with IEC 62304 or related standards /li liWorking closely with software engineers to identify risks early and ensure meticulous, high-quality deliverables /li /ul h3Profile /h3 ul liMaster's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, from an accredited institution (or equivalent qualification) /li li2 years of experience working as a test/software engineer, or equivalent experience /li liComfortable writing code and building automated test frameworks (preferred languages: C#, Python, C, Rust) /li liKnowledge of IEC 62304 or related software lifecycle/quality standards /li liExperience with hardware-in-the-loop testing and interfacing with sensors/hardware /li liGood knowledge of software architectural patterns /li liExtra meticulous, detail-oriented, and committed to quality deliverables /li liExcellent team-working and problem-solving skills /li liExcellent project and time management skills combined with strong demonstrated organizational skills /li liExcellent oral and written communication /li liFluent in English.
